Mark went to Ballymeana College and completed one year of a first dip. in art & design 1993-94; he passed with merit
Continued on to the Belfast Rupert Stanley College of Art -- A level Art 1994-5 ; A
As with all great Artist Mark is now self taught and draws from his inspirations, from such great Artists like JWM Turnner, J Constable, Claude, Van Gough, Michael Angelo.

Mark has painted with all mediums and at any size, from large murals in night clubs, murals in kids bedrooms, bars and cafes.

He works mostly with oil canvas now, and chalk pastel as a favoured medium to work on, but no challenge is to small nor is it to great, as Mark feels a great artist should be able to conquer all.

Mark has recently donated some of his works to charity,

Recently one of Mark's Famous George Best Drawing Sold for £5000 to a private collector, a testimate to the value and the skill of Mark Lee McMeekin.

On this site you can purchase Art work directly from the artist himself, it removes any commission put in place by Gallery Owners, however Marks Commissioned work can often be found in Local Art Galleries and Art Exhibitions.
